2024 Board Member Elections Extended

Dear Indiana Clinical Nurse Specialist and CIOCNS Member,

Open for nominations is extended. We will take nomination until September 8, 2023.

As a valued member of CIOCNS, we invite you to participate in this essential process to help shape the future and direction of our organization.

You would play a vital role in guiding and overseeing the organization's activities, ensuring its adherence to its mission and values, and making strategic decisions that impact our community and stakeholders. Serving on the board is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise, vision, and dedication to the advancement of our shared goals.

Here are the key details and steps for the board member elections:

1. Nomination Period:  During this time, any eligible member can nominate themselves or another member for a board position.
2. Eligibility and Qualifications: To be eligible for nomination and election, a member must meet the following criteria:
   • Be an active member in good standing with the organization.
   • Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission and objectives.
   • Possess relevant skills and experience that align with the needs of the board.
3. Nomination Process: Nominations can be submitted by completing the nomination form, which will be attached to this announcement, or can be obtained by contacting Terry Doescher, at doescher@iu.edu. All nominations must be received by the end of the nomination period. 
4. Position appointment descriptions are included in the nomination form.
5. Each candidate may be requested to provide a brief bio or CV and statement outlining their vision for the organization.
6. Voting Period: All eligible members will be provided with voting instructions and access to cast their ballots securely.
7. Election Results: The votes will be tallied and results will be announced during the Annual CIOCNS Conference in November.
